Our youth program is the cornerstone of the Valley Art Workshop. Since 2009, we’ve hosted over 100’s of young artists and have graduated many to art colleges and programs around the country.
In addition to weekly classes, students are invited on field trips to local museums, parks for landscape painting, and to assist in public art projects, produced by Miles Lewis or associated artists through 11:11 A Creative Collective.
Our program is unique in its holistic approach to creative development. Kids aren’t just developing drawing and painting skills, they are sharpening their critical and creative faculties, expanding their cultural literacy, learning the nature of design, and finding their place as communicators and thinkers. Many deep friendships result.
Additionally, students have ample opportunity to learn with other instructors within our Master Class program and to develop their figure drawing skills in our Life Drawing Workshops.
AGE LISTINGS FOR CLASSES ARE GUIDELINES ONLY. STUDENTS ARE WELCOME TO TRY WHICHEVER TIME IS MOST CONVENIENT.
